A short drive from Las Vegas, this valley of geologic intrigue provides a pallet of red upon which sandstone formations are weathered into awesome structures. During the winter the weather is absolutely perfect, but I would not want to be here during the summer, as the stone walls would surely act like a brick oven. We passed by Lake Mead and the bathtub like rings around the periphery gave a reminder of the decade long drought the southwest is experiencing. This place is surely a hidden gem, yet to be destroyed by the raspy gamblers.
This is where I hope to share the evolution of my photography to the world - or at least to those who stumble upon this site. WARNING: At times photos might be served with a side of commentary, reminiscence, stories and more times than not, complete and utter blasphemy. Enjoy.
