One good thing about being in a photography class is not necessarily learning how or why. But it forces you to actually go out there and take photos; even if you are swamped with work. So a little explanation of the above. The top one draws inspiration from
The Sartorialist. The photos on that page seem to really capture how style is an expression of character. I love photos that propel the subject at you, but a cool thing about this one is that it seems to first draw your attention to the surroundings and your eyes are guided towards gentleman. For the whale...well I'm still not versed in the subject of my roommate's ever growing fascination with whales:
Kiwimonk. He insisted on bringing this little Moby Dick to the shoot or maybe I did. But it does add character and story to the photo.
